Built circa 1827, the hotel was formally called Haverigg Hall and was built for a wealthy fruit merchant. Around the turn of the century, the house became a doctor’s residence and this continued until the house was converted to a hotel mid 1980’s and changed it’s name toWestlakes Hotel.
